    Bloomsbury Football Foundation, or Bloomsbury for short, is a registered charity that transforms young lives through the magic of football.

    It’s having a safe place to play, a community to belong to, and an opportunity to access regular activity. That is the magic of football.

  • What are Training Sessions?

    Training Sessions are organised football for all ages and ability levels. The easiest way to get on pitch and develop your skills.

  • What is the Bloomsbury Football Academy?

    The Bloomsbury Football Academy is the high-intensity pathway for expert players, with training multiple times a week and competitive fixtures.

  • What is the Bloomsbury Futsal Academy?

    Futsal is football’s indoor, fast-paced, 5-a-side cousin. The Bloomsbury Futsal Academy is where players can start their pathway to playing for the Senior Bloomsbury Futsal Men and Women’s teams.

  • What is the Blind & Partially Sighted Football programme?

    Bloomsbury’s Blind & Partially Sighted Football programme consists of specialised sessions for vision-impaired players to get on the pitch and play the formats of football designed for them.

  • What is the Pan-Disability Football programme?

    The Bloomsbury Football Pan-Disability programme consists of specialist sessions designed to bring together players with a broad range of disabilities. They’re open to all ability levels for players ages 7-21.

  • What is the Refugee & Asylum Seeker programme?

    The Bloomsbury Football Refugee programme provides free football sessions for refugees and Asylum Seekers aged 11-25.

  • What is Bloomsbury Bears (Ages 3-6)?

    Bloomsbury Bears is the name we give to our early years football programme. If your child is aged between 2 and 6 years old, they will play football at a Bloomsbury Bears session, before joining the programme that is right for their interest and ability level.

BOOKING A SESSION

  • How do I sign up my child to play football with Bloomsbury?

    All Bloomsbury Football and Bloomsbury Futsal sessions must be booked in advance on our website. This is so that we can collect the necessary safeguarding information, including any essential medical information and emergency contact details.

    To find the best programme and the best session for your child, try our ‘Find a programme’ tool. Then, use the filters to pick the time and location that works best for you.

  • Do you offer taster sessions for new players?

    Yes. If you are a new player with Bloomsbury Football, you can book a free taster session. Simply head to the webpage of the session you want to attend, and click ‘Book a Taster. 

  • Is there a minimum subscription length?

    No, there is no minimum length for your subscription. You can cancel your subscription at any time without penalty. 

  • What is the age range for participants?

    Any young person aged between 18 months and 18 years can play with Bloomsbury Football. Use the age filters on our ‘Find a programme‘ tool to check which programmes are suitable for your child. 

  • Do you run Girls' football sessions?

    Yes. At Bloomsbury Football, we are committed to growing girls’ and women’s football and provide a range of sessions across London for girls.

  • Who coaches the football sessions?

    Every Bloomsbury Football coach is a qualified professional. As a minimum, all coaches hold an FA Level One qualification and is DBS checked. 

    Any coach working with U8s or below also has a paediatric first aid qualification. 

  • Where do Bloomsbury Football sessions run?

    Bloomsbury Football run sessions across London in nine different London Boroughs.

  • How long is a Bloomsbury Football session?

    Bloomsbury Football sessions vary in length, but most commonly are one hour long. You can check how long an individual session is when you book on our website. 

  • What time does a Bloomsbury Football session start?

    Bloomsbury Football sessions run every day of the week, from Monday to Sunday inclusive. The start time of these sessions varies by venue. You can check when an individual session starts when you book on our website. 

    You can use the filters on our ‘Find a programme‘ tool to discover sessions that run on the days of the week that work for you.

  • How much do Bloomsbury Football sessions cost?

    The cost of a Bloomsbury Football session depends on the programme. You pay for your Bloomsbury Football sessions monthly via subscription payments.  

    If you are from a low-income household, you can apply for financial support, meaning discounts of 25-100% off costs. Apply for financial support here. 

  • Can I watch my child’s session?

    You are very welcome to watch football session that your child is attending. However, we do not allow parents to stand within the playing are so that we can ensure a safe, enjoyable playing environment for our participants. 

  • What does my child need to bring to a Bloomsbury Football session?

    Please ensure that your child brings the following items to each session: 

    Water bottle, suitable sports clothing (e.g. gloves or hat), a raincoat, and a packed lunch (if not eligible for Free School Meals). 

    Some of our venues require specific footwear, so that the pitch is not damaged. For information about what football boots or trainers are required, please visit the booking page for your session. 

  • Do you organise transport to sessions?

    Unless specified otherwise, we are unable to offer transport to and from our football sessions.  

    We encourage all our players to travel via public transport, where possible. 

  • Are sessions cancelled when there’s bad weather?

    Bloomsbury Football sessions run throughout the year and in all types of weather.  

    We have a designated Safeguarding Policy related to Extreme Weather and unless specified, our sessions will continue to run.  

    We will always contact you to let you know if a planned session is not going ahead. 

  • When do sessions run?

    Our regular football and futsal sessions run in line with Camden Council’s term dates. More information can be found here.

    Sessions will run:

    • Monday 1st September 2025 – Sunday 26th October 2025
    • Monday 3rd November 2025 – Sunday 21st December 2025
    • Monday 5th January 2026 – Sunday 15th February 2026
    • Monday 23rd February 2026 – Sunday 29th March 2026
    • Monday 13th April 2026 – Sunday 24th May 2026
    • Monday 1st June 2026 – Monday 20th July 2026

    We run Holiday Camps throughout school holidays. No camps or sessions will run on Bank Holidays.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

  • What is financial support?

    As a charity, Bloomsbury Football Foundation offers financial support to low-income households. 

    Financial support means discounts of 25-100% across all our football programmes and events that we run.  

  • Who can get financial support?

    Anyone can apply for financial support at Bloomsbury Football. The process requires creating a website account and answering a few questions relating to your household’s income.

    Once your financial support has been approved, any discount will be automatically applied at checkout. You can check any financial support that is already applied to your account by signing into the dashboard of your account.

  • When will my financial support be approved?

    We review financial support applications daily, during our Customer Support operating hours (Monday to Friday excluding public holidays). 

    You will receive an email once your application has been reviewed. If you have not heard from us within 72 hours of your application submission, please contact us at info@bloomsburyfootball.com 

  • Does financial support apply to all Bloomsbury programmes?

    Yes, once your financial support discounts have been approved, they will be applied automatically to any new orders, for any programme that we run.

  • Can financial support be applied to previous purchases?

    Sadly, we cannot backdate financial support to cover previous payments. Once approved, your financial support will be applied automatically to any new orders. 

  • I have an existing subscription but want to apply for financial support. What do I do?

    You are welcome to apply for financial support even if you have an existing subscription.

    Once we have reviewed your application, please contact info@bloomsburyfootball.com to ensure that we amend your subscription correctly. Changes in price will be applied to future payments, but we cannot backdate financial support to cover previous payments.

MY ACCOUNT

  • How do I create an account?

    To create a Bloomsbury Football account, click here or press the ‘Register’ button at the top of the page.

    Alternatively, you can find the session that’s right for you, begin the checkout process and register for an account as part of the checkout.

    You will need an account to book any football sessions with us, and we are unable to book these sessions for you.

  • How do I see my account?

    Once you have registered for an account, you can log in on any computer or phone. Within the Parent Portal, you can see your upcoming bookings, subscriptions, payment methods and the personal information related to your account. 

  • I have more than one child – how do I sign them up for different sessions?

    When you create your account, you are required to add the details of your child to create a profile for them. 

    Every booking at Bloomsbury Football is linked to a child’s profile, so that our coaches can see any important information like allergies or required medical equipment. 

    There is no limit to how many children you can add to your account. You can add new child profiles through the Parent Portal, or on the checkout page for a new session. 

  • How do I change my details?

    You can change any of your personal details, including payment information, by logging into your account and clicking the ‘My Account’ tab. 

PAYMENT

  • When do you take subscription payments?

    We take payment for your subscription on the first day of the month.  

    Our payment model splits the annual cost of our programmes by 12, so the cost remains the same regardless of how many individual sessions there are in the month. 

  • How can I cancel a subscription?

    You can cancel your subscription at any time on our website by visiting the Parent Portal, or by emailing info@bloomsburyfootball.com with the email address associated with your account and the reason for cancellation.

  • How can I refund a payment?

    If you need to request a refund, please contact us at info@bloomsburyfootball.com and include any information relevant.

    Please note, we are unable to refund payments due to non-attendance or other commitments.

  • My subscription is ‘on hold’. What does that mean?

    Your subscription will be placed ‘on hold’ if we’ve tried to take payment for your subscription but have been unsuccessful.  

    Reasons for this might be because:

    • your card details have changed
    • your bank has blocked the payment
    • there are insufficient funds to complete the payment. 

    We will continue trying to take payment for 14 days. After this period, your subscription will be cancelled automatically.  

    If you have any questions regarding on hold subscriptions, please contact info@bloomsburyfootball.com with relevant information. 

  • How do I change my payment method?

    You can easily change your payment method in the Player Portal. Login to your account, click the ‘Payment methods’ tab, and update your card details.  

    Make sure to authorise new payments through your bank to avoid your subscription going on hold. 

  • What is a pro-rata payment?

    A pro-rata payment refers to the first payment, which is calculated using the subscription cost and the remaining days left in the month. This is so you pay for the remainder of the month.

  • When is my subscription active from?

    Your subscription is active from the moment your first payment is processed. We are unable to defer this.

  • Can I pay upfront for multiple months at a time?

    No, you cannot pay upfront for multiple months at a time. This is because our system is only able to take subscriptions on a monthly basis.  

Holiday Camps

  • What are Holiday Camps?

    Bloomsbury Football Holiday Camps are an opportunity to continue playing football outside of term time.  

    They run at multiple venues across London. You can find our Holiday Camp venues here. 

  • When do you run Holiday Camps?

    Bloomsbury Football Holiday Camps are organised in line with Camden Council term dates.

    Holiday Camps for the remainder of the 2025/26 season will run in the weeks commencing:

    • Monday 16th February
    • Monday 30th March
    • Monday 6th April
    • Monday 25th May
    • Monday 21st July

    We do not run Holiday Camps on Bank Holidays. Individual dates may vary by site. Always check the dates on our Holiday Camps page to confirm.

  • When do Holiday Camps run?

    Holiday Camps run daily from 10am – 3pm for children aged 7+. 

    Bears Camps, for ages 3-6, run from 10am – midday. 

  • Do I need to book Holiday Camps?

    For safeguarding reasons, all players must book a space at our Holiday Camps in advance.  

    Booking for all our Holiday Camp venues can be made through our website.

  • Is lunch provided at Holiday Camps?

    Lunch is provided at Bloomsbury Football Holiday Camps for children eligible for income-based Free School Meals (FSM). 

    Those not eligible must bring a packed lunch and snacks. Fizzy drinks and nuts are not permitted. 

  • What does my child need to bring to Holiday Camps?

    Please ensure that your child brings the following items to each session:

SAFEGUARDING

  • What is your safeguarding policy?

    Bloomsbury Football take upmost care in ensuring that every young person in our care is protected.  

    We regularly review our safeguarding policy, as well as specific policies for the following practices: 

    Safe recruitment, whistleblowing, online safeguarding, safeguarding adults at risk, modern slavery, EDI, anti-bullying, intimate care, emergency/accident/injury, and health and safety.

  • How many coaches are there per child?

    For sessions involving children aged 9+, we ensure that there is a minimum of 1 coach per every 12 children. 

    For sessions involving children aged 8 and under, we ensure that there is a minimum of 1 coach per every 8 children. 

  • What do you do to prevent injuries in training?

    All venues that Bloomsbury Football use are risk-assessed, and all coaches are required to read this assessment before starting their session. 

    A venue inspection is also conducted prior to each session to assess any potential hazards and mitigate against the risks.

  • Are there medical personnel on-site in case of emergencies?

    All our coaching staff have received First Aid training, and coaches working with U8s or below also have a paediatric First Aid qualification.  

    Some venues have on-site personnel, but these staff are not employed by Bloomsbury Football Foundation.

  • How can I contact my child’s session in case of an emergency?

    For Football Academy and Futsal Academy teams, you contact your team’s coach directly via the Spond app.

    For all other Bloomsbury Football Foundation sessions, contact info@bloomsburyfootball.com and we will do our best to pass on any messages.
